The sad thing is, I have to convince my authors of this on a regular basis. Some of them still don’t believe me. They just don’t to hear that we make decisions based profits and costs.
They want to believe that we are a warm-fuzzy, not-for-profit organization willing to give out lots of free books and throw gobs of money at promoting non-profitably books just to “get the message out.”
I love when I have to explain this to other human beings in general.
